Psalms for the Perplexed מזמורי נבוכים
Kobi Oz, Adam Mader Johnny Koren and Noam Shlomo
Kobi Oz’s new performance - on the way to a new CD.
Oz is taking a wonderful and enlightening personal journey through his Jewish and
personal heritage. His story about his granddad Rabi “Nisim Masika” and the song
“My God” which he sings alongside his granddad’s sound track, is a moving and exciting
example. To view Kobi sings "My God" at London and Kirshenboums nightly show click

Israeli Rock Finds Religion
Oz sees this blending of the traditional and the modern, of the textual and the
personal, as an inspiring liberation. “As the Zionist narrative plays a lesser role
in our lives, it leaves room for us to create a new model: What it is to be a Jew
in the Land of Israel.” With typical mischievous Oz honesty, he sings to God, but
admits “I’m not sure what to call you — Elohim, or Elokim?” His songs tell of his
fears of being religiously transformed by immersing himself in a Jerusalem mikveh. Read the full article

Thats Why I am Still Here
Robbie Gringras and Adam Mader
What about the love stories that begin when the infatuation is over, when the complications
of real life arise?
Robbie Gringras fell in love with Israel, and so he went to live there. And then
came the morning after… The rudeness, the culture clashes, the violence, the religious
quagmire… So why is he still there?
Performed together with top Israeli musician, Adam Mader, That's Why I'm (Still)
Here is a thoughtful yet joyful gathering of personal stories, Israeli contemporary
songs, and stunning photography, that together celebrate the complex, troubling,
and life-affirming love of Israel, the morning after.
The show is performed without an interval. All songs are sung in Hebrew, with a
live projected translation into English.
Robbie Gringras is a British-born Israeli writer and performer whose unique storytelling
is acclaimed all over the world. His West End reputation for “simply superb telling
of classic tales” (Time Out) reaches as far as Hong Kong (“an inspired performance”
South China Morning Post), and his plays have been performed in Mexico, Israel,
Siberia, Scotland, and Vancouver's Chutzpah Festival! www.robbiegringras.5u.com is his (pretty unimpressive) website,
but he does his more thoughtful work as Artist-in-Residence for MAKOM – www.makomisrael.net
Israeli musician Adam Mader is renowned for stunning audiences throughout the world
with his effervescent stage presence and mastery of a myriad of instruments. He
has played with Israel's top theatres – HaBima, Cameri, Haifa – and with Israel's
greatest pop stars – Ehud Banai, Meir Ariel, Eti Ankri, Hanan Yovel – to name but
a few. Songs from the show will be available for downloaded from www.adam-mader.com
shortly.
Neil Mercer is a British-born Israeli photographer and artist. More of his beautiful
work can be found on www.neilstudio.com
Reviews:
"With his passionate, inspired storytelling, he brings the great Chassidic tradition
to life more vividly than anyone I've seen since the late Shlomo Carlebach" (Jewish
Chronicle UK)
"Virtuoso performance of physical story theatre... emanates an atmosphere of humor
and warmth" (Jerusalem Post).
